Seeking Business/HR Content Writers for Short-Term High-Volume Opportunity
Hi there!
We’re Codeless, a completely remote SEO growth and content production agency that partners with well-known and digital-native brands and companies. We create high-quality, original content to help our clients grow.
|| About the opportunity ||
We’re looking to hire a group of freelance writers with experience creating Business/HR content. Applicants must be able to deliver 7-15k words/week over a 1-3 month timeframe. And if there’s a fit and you want to stay on once the project wraps, there’s also the opportunity of continuing to bring your talent, passion, and expertise to other Codeless Clients.
The project is high-volume and fast-paced. You’ll be creating country-specific 1,000-word pieces for 10 pre-selected job roles. For each job, you'll provide readers with a high-level look at the employment outlook and market trends in one of the countries below:
- The UK
- Spain
- Canada
- United States
- Portugal
- India
- Netherlands
- France
- Italy
- Germany
Note: All content is ghostwritten.
|| What we'll bring ||
- Clear, specific content templates with guiding instructions
- A robust Writer’s Guide packed full of brand information including positioning, audience guidance, and value prop details
- A team of dedicated Editors and Production Specialists dedicated to ensuring you’re on the right track and are receiving the support and coaching you need to nail copy without heavy edits
|| What you'll need ||
- A portfolio of published pieces demonstrating your ability to write Business or HR/Talent Management-related publications, companies, or brands
- Desire to formulate best-in-class writing skills
- A willingness to accept and implement feedback
- An openness to working in a collaborative, communicative manner
- The ability to balance engaging SEO writing with subject matter expertise
- The ability to work with collaboration and PM software (ClickUp, Slack, Google Docs, LastPass, Loom, etc.)
- A curious and investigative mindset
- Robust and well-honed research skills, with a clear understanding of what constitutes high-quality secondary source material and how to cite these accurately
- Previous experience working either in-house or within an agency as a Content Writer or Copywriting Specialist (with a portfolio of strong, well-written pieces that demonstrate this)
- Subject-matter expertise as demonstrated by a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, OR 3+ years’ industry/relevant writing experience
- Experience or knowledge of operating within a production environment and the various stages of creation (Research, Outlining, Writing, Revisions, etc.)
Bonus points if you have:
- HR/recruitment/talent management certifications
- Smart Blogger certifications
- Copyhacker certifications
- Digital marketing or content marketing certifications
|| The Hiring Process ||
Complete the application and include links to no more than 4 recent examples of published content (ideally related to and demonstrating past experience in writing topics for the niches noted above). Google Docs with links or Personal Blogs won’t be accepted.
On your application form, please indicate one country you’d like to write for. Applications with more (or less) than one country will be rejected.
If your published samples align with what we’re looking for, we’ll ask you to write a short sample piece. The Test Sample is pretty simple — 350 words, max. It allows us to assess the quality of your unpublished/unedited writing, your ability to create an outline based on a brief, and your ability to perform competitive SERP research to support your work.
After reviewing your test sample, if we like what we see, we’ll send you an offer so you can begin the onboarding process.
Payments are made on a monthly basis. At this time, we can only pay Writers based in one of the 137 countries serviced by Bill.com. If you are not able to accept payments via Bill.com, please do not apply.
Upon completing the project, if we both feel it's a good fit, you'll have the opportunity to bring your talent, passion, and expertise to other Codeless Clients.
Note: Please address application items to Autumn Palmer, Editorial Assistant.
