Description
We are looking for a longtime self-hosted WordPress user with development experience to write WordPress-related articles of a technical nature (at least two posts per week). Development experience is mandatory; extensive writing experience is not (we can train you).
You’ll be expected to write on topics such as 3 Compelling Reasons You Should Make the Switch to PHP 7 for WordPress, An Introduction to Baseline Security for WordPress Theme Developers, The Beginner’s Guide to Writing Your Own Custom Shortcode, and The Newbie Developer’s Guide to WordPress’ PHP Coding Standards.
For the most part you’ll be creating your own topic ideas for our approval, and you’ll have a fair amount of freedom to write on topics you’re comfortable with and/or particularly interested in.
We have a well-established writing process in place, which you will need to adhere to. In short, you'll create an outline for each article (which is edited and approved), then produce your article from that outline. We also have specific stylistic requirements that you would need to adhere to. In short, this position is only suitable for those who are flexible and willing to adapt to their clients’ needs.
Please note this is a ghostwriting contract; you won't receive a byline.
