We're looking for writers with proven experience writing about outdoor adventure topics, more specifically articles on climbing, canoeing, hiking, biking, boating, camping, fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities.
NOTE: Writers MUST have active examples of published articles written on these topics, and links to those articles must be included in their application. Don't include links in an attached resume. We won't be reading attached resumes. Everything MUST be in the application. Including a link to your website/work portfolio that includes links to published outdoor articles is great too.
IMPORTANT: If you're not comfortable writing about hunting and fishing topics, do not apply.
We're a Web publishing company and we own and operate several sites across a variety of different niches, including a site for outdoor enthusiasts.
About the Project
We'd like to start with a single (paid) project and then may have more opportunities in future if there's a fit.
We have specific formatting requirements for posts, and primarily need help with longer-form list style posts (typically featuring ~50 items - tools, blogs, tips, etc. - with a brief description and some information like features and pricing, examples of great posts, etc. for each) and shorter form (typically ~750 word) posts that give a glossary-style overview of a topic (describing what the topic is, common challenges, benefits, answering a few frequently asked questions, etc.) or walk through a 5-10 step process for completing a task / improving a system.
We don't have specific word count requirements but longer-form posts typically run anywhere from 3000 to 4000 words and shorter form upward of 750 words, and we pay $400 per asset for longer form posts and $75 per asset for shorter form posts.
