Description

We are looking for an experienced blogger to help us grow our brand by providing engaging, creative and informative content.

We're looking for someone who can produce weekly content that inspires our target audience of amateur photographers and enthusiasts.

You'll work with our editors to come up with story ideas and pitch your own. You'll conduct Q&As with  emerging photographers and established pros and write features on visual artists who are pushing the boundaries of storytelling.

You'll also help promote your work and the work of other contributors through our various social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

What You Bring to the Table

  • You are an experienced blogger or writer and produce clear, error-free, grammatically correct copy.
  • You know how to ask interview subjects insightful, thoughtful questions that show you have researched their work beforehand.
  • You are self-motivated, goal-oriented and thrive in collaborative settings.
  • You have an interest in writing about photography.
  • You are experienced at creating engaging, shareable content for social media.

Bonus Skills

  • You are experienced creating content with WordPress and have a fundamental knowledge of HTML.
  • You are keenly familiar with the principles of SEO.
  • You are an experienced and passionate photographer.

Compensation

We pay $25 to $100 USD per story, depending on the depth and complexity of the finished piece. We also pay an hourly rate for social media management, which will be between $15 and $25 an hour, depending on your experience. You can expect to spend up to 5 hours a week on social media activities.

This is an independent contractor position. You will be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes.
