I own a portfolio of websites, one of which is a site dedicated to providing baseball fans a no nonsense guide to attending a game at every Major League Baseball stadium.
We started the site in 2008, and most recently updated our stadium guides 2-3 years ago.
We cover things like where to eat before/after/at the game, how to get deals on tickets, or advice on the best places to sit, as well as ideas for finding free/cheap parking. We also cover other freebies or special things you should try to see when going to this ballpark.
I need someone who ideally has experience attending baseball games or sporting events and "gets it" in terms of what a fan would like to know before going to a stadium for the first time.
I'm looking for someone who can both edit and write, because this job requires a combination of things:
- Editing/proofreading/fact checking our existing article to make sure all the ideas we give are still valid and accurate.
- Add more ideas to our list and generally make the article better and more up to date. For instance, if we list 2 places to park for free, maybe you can find a third one we haven't mentioned.
In the end, the goal is that all 30 stadiums will be given a full refresh and be ready to go for the 2022 baseball season.
The word count needed is going to vary from one stadium to another, since some will need only minor updates and then others may need large sections re-written. My preference is to set a per article price of $75.
I'm open to dividing this work up among multiple writers, but I'd love to find someone who can update around 5 articles per week and complete this project within 6 weeks.
