Who We Need
LearnProgress.Org is looking for an editor who can proofread and review articles for a liberal/progressive news site dedicated to promoting liberal principles and exposing Donald Trump’s fraud, corruption, incompetence, racism, xenophobia, sexism, mysoginy, etc.
You MUST be EXTREMELY familiar with WordPress. You won’t be writing code or anything, but it’s incredibly important that you are 100% comfortable doing anything content related there.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Attaching provided featured images
- Editing SEO titles and meta description
- Selecting appropriate categories and tags
- Proofreading for spelling and grammar errors
- General editing
What You’ll Want To Know
- We have a team of writers who create our content.
- Articles are anywhere from 300-600 words. We publish anywhere from 9 - 15 articles per day.
- We’re a news blog, so sometimes we have emergency stories that come up and need to be written and edited quickly (within 30 mins).
- We reward skilled work and very often promote our editors to better positions.
- We’re looking for both weekday AND weekend editors. There’s a bonus for weekend editors.
What We’ll Pay
Pay will start at $12/hr during the test period. Afterward, we’ll bump it to $15/hr for weekday editing, and $17/hr for weekend editing.
This is really mechanical work; it’s not difficult. You’ll work closely with our content developer and the writers to get the content out every day.
