Anime Geek is a newly launched website, a spinoff of the popular entertainment site Monsters and Critics, and we are looking for new writers to expand our team.

If you're a budding or experienced writer and are a big fan of anime, come and join us.

We are looking for freelance news writers to cover daily anime news.

To apply for this role, you must be a self-starter and a die-hard anime fan. If you’re always watching anime, and can’t get enough of the news about your favourite series, this is the job for you.

This role is work-from-home (or anywhere!) with flexible hours.

GENERAL INFO

• Articles are paid on a per-story basis.
• There are opportunities to earn various bonuses on top of that flat fee.
• You must be able to commit to writing at least 10 stories a week (roughly 10 hours), although more is preferable.
• You must be comfortable helping promote your articles on social media.
• An in-depth knowledge of anime is crucial.
• Excellent grammar and punctuation are a must.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Knowledge of basic photo editing skills (resizing, cropping, adjusting exposure etc) are a must.
• Knowledge of WordPress is preferred.
• Prior news writing experience is a big bonus.
• The ability to work at speed is a big bonus.
