We publish an online subscription newsletter that features trading forecasts for stocks, commodities, futures and mini-indices. In short this means gold, silver, the E-Mini Dow and S&P and selected tech stocks. Additionally, each day we publish a Commentary segment - distributed freely - which discusses current events and their impact on markets as well as the US economy. Though we do occasionally focus on the world economy, our primary focus is the US.We are looking to expand the amount of content we produce each day and are seeking a strong writer with expertise in the financial markets. You will be expected to produce at least one 300-500 word segment every day, either on a subject of the editor’s choosing or one of your own (upon approval). You will also be expected to interact with readers by replying to select comments on your post.

Beyond that, we are willing to expand the role for the right person, whose responsibilities would include multiple posts per day, commenting on other blogs covering similar subjects and general assistance in defining a regular editorial schedule.

In short, we want to establish a relationship with someone would like the role and its responsibilities to grow, someone who really wants to be part of the team.

The ideal candidate would be a journalism major or someone with exception stock market expertise who also happens to write well. You will be working with an editor with a background as a reporter and newspaper editor, including three years for the Sunday San Francisco Examiner and more than two decades contributing to publications such as Barron’s, The Fleet Street Letter and Utne Reader.

As our writing is part commentary and part analysis, you must have a strong personal style that shows through. We also believe anyone who follows the markets had better have a well developed sense of humor. So if you can get your point across humorously, you’re apt to please our readers - and the editor.
