NUNAR is a new youth-led digital zine based in Maryland, U.S. NUNAR is looking for 300-1,000 words on entertainment news (film/tv, music, web), politics (DMV area, national, international), humanity (features on extraordinary people, journeys, achievements), and justice (race, LGBTQ+, climate, feminism) topics.
Articles over 1,000 words will not be accepted (exceptions may be made only for humanity features). We prefer features that focus on personalities and news arising out of the D.C., Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area, though a story will not be rejected solely for emerging elsewhere.
Our core mission is to uplift the culture and life born out of the DMV and find stories about rising young people worldwide who are ushering in the new era of being through music, fine arts, visual arts, athletics, community involvement, and the web. As a forward-thinking publication, we welcome stories about people who challenge the mainstream in their industry or region in an inspiring way!
Currently, stories will be posted on our Instagram as graphic articles. Soon, stories will also be published on our website. For questions, please email [email protected]
