You’ll be writing articles that help people make important decisions! They will be counting on us to give them the right information and advice.
Compensation and Requirements
• You must be able to read and write English very well. Duh.
• The pay range is 8 to 10 cents per word, depending on the topic. Most articles will be 1,000 or 2,000, or 4,000 words. I pay bonuses for excellent work. There is plenty of paid work, if you want it.
• There is an opportunity to promote your own sites and social media within the articles.
• New topics are added frequently. Right now I need articles about business software tools, starting an online business, green energy, making money online (this is my new site), US accounting, US taxes, digital marketing, SaaS, ecommerce, CRMs, and jewelry.
• You must possess superb attention to detail. All research and facts must be 100% accurate. I can coach you to become a better writer and help you get more paid work. What I can’t do is help you put in the effort to ensure all your work is accurate.
• You will be given a keyword, outline, and instructions to follow.
• You must complete articles by the due date.
• If for some reason you can't complete a task, you must let me know in advance.
• For many articles, you’ll be asked to insert the fun side of your personality! Take the topic and make it enjoyable to read. A good article is like a taco. We all love tacos. And a great article is a yummy taco covered in your saucey personality and smooth guacamole. (Unusual analogy, I know, but I’m hungry.)
• The audience will mainly be good-looking people in the USA between ages 21 and 50.
• Be authoritative but do not use jargon. Write everything so that a beginner can understand it.
• Some articles will be ghostwritten. Others may have your name on them, if you like.
What are the next steps?
1 - If you’re still interested,
A - apply with links to 3 articles that have your name on them. Ideally these articles showcase your ability to write clearly, perform research, and adhere to SEO formatting. (If you don’t have that, send links to 3 pieces you’ve written that you think will make me curious to learn more about your skills.)
B - Write exactly 5 sentences explaining the app, software, or plugin that you find most helpful while writing. Convince me to visit that tool’s download page.
C - Link to your LinkedIn or a personal site that highlights your abilities. (If you don’t have that, write exactly 2 sentences telling me the most fun place to which you’ve traveled.)
2 - If you’re selected for the next round, there will be a test that should take you about 20 minutes to complete.
3 - From there I’ll select between 3 and 6 writers. Each of the writers will be guaranteed $1,000 worth of writing assignments. For example, you would be guaranteed five 2,000-word articles at $200 each.
