Description
Are you an experienced firearms enthusiast who has a talent for writing?
Would you enjoy teaching others the differences, similarities, pros, and cons of different calibers?
We're looking for a writer to help provide well-written content for the Ammo.com blog, supplying between 4 and 8 articles per month on an ongoing basis.
About Us
We believe arming our fellow Americans – both physically and philosophically – helps them fulfill our Founding Fathers' intent with the Second Amendment: To serve as a check on state power.
We believe the rights codified in our Bill of Rights were not given to us in a document, but by our Creator. That an unalienable right is God-given. It isn’t granted by a president, a king, or any government – otherwise it can be taken away.
The fact is that our Second Amendment rights exist to preserve all of the others.
What I'm Looking For
We will be asking for articles on different calibers, manufacturers, and pretty much everything else anyone who is interested in firearms wants to know.
They will range from ammunition guides to informational articles, list-style posts to round-up reviews, and occasionally, pros and cons, myth-busting, or something else entirely!
Articles need to be factually accurate, show knowledge of ammunition and firearms, and be informative and mostly actionable but written in a light-hearted conversational tone and style.
English MUST be your native language.
You MUST proofread and grammar-check all your writing.
We will provide a fairly comprehensive spreadsheet for each article, outlining the intent of each page, important keywords to help you build the relevance of the piece, competitor examples, and live pages we'd like to model, but there will be lots of room for creativity for you to write to your own style, particularly as it relates to your experience with firearms.
And if you have any article ideas as you get going, we're all ears!
We will expect the articles to be 'scannable', with good use of headings, bullet-pointed / numbered lists, bolding and italics (if suitable) to make the text more easily read and suitable for the web.
The Role
We're looking for one person who can commit to at least 4 articles each per month on an ongoing basis with frequent opportunities for more under no obligation (but both sides, me and you, must absolutely commit to providing 4.)
We will likely provide you with a batch of articles each month, depending on your availability, and will expect to have them all completed within 1 month. This allows you the flexibility to write based on your own schedule.
What Does The Job Offer?
Get paid to write about something you already know and love - firearms, ammo, and shooting!
You'll learn the latest, data-backed methods of putting together search-friendly articles, that will be a big value-add to any future clients you have.
The amount we pay will depend on a few factors and we fully expect a wide range of different prices requested. Please be true and honest to yourself!
All offers, no matter how high or low will be considered and I can equally pay low or high.
So please let us know what you would like to be paid for your services by providing a PER WORD quote. These articles will all be 2000-5000 words.
Also, provide at least one link to published work you have done.
If you have Guest Contributor spots on any outdoor websites, please provide them in the Google Form. This is a nice bonus!
