Writer Looking for Long-Term Work for Established Startup Business Site

Do you have an interest in startups? Better yet, do you enjoy learning and writing about companies in the medical device and/or health technology space?

If so, this could be a perfect match, especially if you're up for a long-term partnership with an opportunity to earn an ownership stake in our company.

Here are the basic requirements:

• We have a consistent amount of content to produce, so you should be ready to work 10+ hours per week.
• Fantastic English writing skills with a simple, clear, and straightforward style.
• Familiar with writing and editing in the Google Docs ecosystem.
• Ideally, you've written or covered the medical device or health technology arenas in the past. It's okay if you haven't, but you should be curious and interested in diving in.
• Open to jumping on a brief call if there's a good fit.
• Ready to do a simple 1-page (editing or writing) project without being paid since we'd like to get a better feel for your skillsets.

Here's what we offer:

• This is a long-term project. We're looking for someone that we can work with for many months and possibly years.
• We're not a content farm and don't by the word. Instead, we'll negotiate a fair hourly rate or monthly retainer.
• We want this to evolve into a full-time role. So if you perform well, you will eventually be eligible for bonuses, equity, and a leadership position in our growing company.

Here's what you will do:

• Research podcast guests in advance of interviews.
• Listen to podcast episodes and convert them to summary articles (approximately 1.5k words) and develop promotional email and social copy.
• Semi-annually, you will repurpose the summary articles into a long-form e-book.
• On a weekly basis, you will craft an email newsletter similar to the Hustle or Morning Brew. This may turn into a twice-weekly newsletter in the future.
• In the future, we'll explore additional content marketing opportunities (eg, courses, webinars, etc).
