Description
We're looking for writers for 1,600-2,500 word articles aimed at a home chef/grilling/foodie audience. The articles are primarily about grilling or smoking, but other cooking and recipe knowledge is helpful. The more expertise you have in those areas, the better!
Target budget is $350 per article, so around a $0.15-0.25 average per word rate. If your rates are higher but you have better-than-average expertise in grilling and smoking, please feel free to apply.
We're looking for 1-2 writers to handle 2-3 pieces per month, each.
The articles are intended to capture search traffic for specific terms, so they need to be well-researched and authoritative. We will be providing a 1-2 page brief and some research, but expect writers to fill in the blanks within reason.
The audience is people who like to cook creatively, so your writing needs to be helpful, conversational, and lively.
Please send links to examples of published work that best matches the personal writing tone and style you would bring to this project. Bonus points if the example is at least 1,500 words.
Because knowledge of grilling & smoking is important, please mention your experience in this area.
Also, please include the word "spaceship" in your response (this helps us weed out people who don't pay close attention to directions).
