Who you are: An experienced and skilled freelance writer who's raising/raised a kid or two (or three) and knows a thing or two (or three) about potty training, behavioral issues, picky eating, sleepless nights, and all the other fun, frustrating, and rewarding parts of being a parent.
Not a parent? Writers with backgrounds in early education, child psychology, special needs, or even a strong interest and willingness to research and learn are also welcome.
Who we are: An established parenting site (launched in 2006) that’s still growing fast and devoted to covering topics of interest to parents of young children.
Requirements
Native English speaker. Preferably located in North America or Europe.
Experience writing about parenting or similar topics related to children ages 0-5. Writing samples required.
Able to research and write in-depth content according to our style and content guidelines.
Rate: 3.5 cents per word.
Details
Articles are typically around 1-2,000 words. Volume is flexible based on your availability. Many of our writers average one article per week, but others contribute more or less frequently.
We have an established editorial process with content guidelines and will offer plenty of constructive feedback. Detailed content briefs will be provided.
You’ll be writing primarily long-form informational content, as well as some roundup product reviews. Writing and editing is done in Google Docs with SurferSEO as a writing assistant (training provided).
Payments are made via PayPal upon article completion for writers in the US, and biweekly for writers outside the US. Other payment platforms are also available based on your preference.
If selected, we'll get in touch with a short writing test, which you'll be compensated for.
