We're on a mission to enable kids to ‘invent their world’ by developing creative confidence in the technology building blocks of the future. We envision a future where anyone can construct their ideas into reality and build their own digital devices. Towards that future, Piper creates hands-on computing products that are fun, intuitive and designed to teach and explore technology from the inside-out. Through our products, kids gain fluency in computing, electronics, software and mechanics that combined will empower them to create anything in the digital-physical world.
We're looking for a talented writer that can wear two hats:
- Content writer who can write compelling website copy to encourage visitors to learn more and buy
- SEO master who knows how to get on-page SEO right
First project: We are completely re-designing our website from scratch. We want the copy of each page to be elegantly written and for it to reflect both the fun/play of Piper but at the same time the Ivy League/Stanford academic foundation as well as the intellectual heft behind the design of the Piper learning experience.
The website overhaul is an approximately 2-3 month project. We'll give you background materials for the company and expect you to immerse yourself initially in understanding Piper and its founders.
After that: a steady stream of content for blog, Facebook Ads, Instagram and email.
Must be able to distill technology and electronics concepts into easy to understand language. Background in STEM education a plus.
