Travel Lemming is looking for talented travel creators to create 2-5 high-quality written travel guides for our prominent travel blog. This is a one-time freelance project with a timeline over the next month or so.
We are proud to only feature 100% human content.
We have a strict zero tolerance policy for AI tools.
Additionally, note this is a creative project, not just a writing project. This means you must have high-quality original images of the destination.

About Travel Lemming
We publish concise, friendly, and highly-informative “guidebook style” blog posts filled with our own original images.
Our goal is to build the most helpful online travel resource on the internet, with candid advice from knowledgeable locals and expert travelers.
Writers write under their own byline, with their full name. Writers are given templates and clear instructions, and have access to editors who are available to assist with questions throughout the project process.
You might be a good fit for us if you are your friends’ go-to for recommendations for things to do in your local area, you know each area of your city well, and you have a smartphone photo library filled with snapshots from your adventures around your city.
What We Are Looking For
Local Expertise – We prefer our guides to be written by an area local, or at least someone who has spent a lot of time in the destination and knows it very well. Do not apply for a destination unless you meet this criteria.
Human-Only Writing (No AI) – We have an extremely strict no-AI content policy. Use of AI is not tolerated and no AI tools may be used in any part of the content creation process. This policy is strictly enforced.
Attention to Detail – Our creators take the time to confirm that our travel advice is always spot on and up to date. To demonstrate your attention to detail in reading this posting, please include the capital of Bolivia somewhere in any response in your application.
Quality Original Photos – We are travel creators, not just writers. Photos are an important part of our content and our compensation model. You will be required to submit samples of your original photos as part of the application. We prefer horizontal images, and require writers to appear in many images to prove to our readers that we’re real people.
Compensation
Varies based on type of article, length, and number of original photos you submit. Average total per article, including image compensation, ranges from $250 – $500+ USD. More information will be provided to applicants invited to the next stage of our application process.
