Banton Frameworks is primarily an e-commerce store. We utilise an SEO-focussed content strategy to generate leads for our products, but also generate income via Mediavine and affiliate revenue.
Job Description: We are seeking creative and passionate writers to join our team as Eyewear Blog Writers. If you have a flair for storytelling, a keen eye for fashion and a genuine interest in the eyewear industry, we want to hear from you! Proficient knowledge of SEO best practices is absolutely essential.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct in-depth research on eyewear trends, brands, and related topics
* Create engaging and informative blog posts that resonate with our audience
* Stay updated on industry developments and integrate relevant information into articles
* Optimise content for SEO to increase blog visibility and reach
Example topics:
- Round ups (Best running sunglasses, Best glasses for Tennis etc)
- Celebrity Eyewear (What sunglasses are worn by Kim Kardashian, who makes Johnny Depp’s glasses etc)
- Informational (benefits of blue light blocking, benefits of anti-glare coatings etc)
- Buying guides (e.g., how to choose glasses for round face shape, How to choose glasses for square face shape etc)
You don’t have to be a specialist in every one of the above topics, but if you have a specific area of interest/experience please feel free to disclose that in your application.
Most of the work will entail:
* Writing new blog posts. On average our articles are about 2000 words long to ensure they are informative and of high quality. We would expect your articles to be the same.
* Rewriting existing articles from scratch (some of them are not up to par or simply outdated)
You don't have to be a professional. But you should have experience with the topic, and you *have* to enjoy the subject matter.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a writer, with a focus on fashion, lifestyle, or eyewear. Experience in other categories will be considered if you have a personal passion and enthusiasm for eyewear.
* Strong research skills and ability to translate complex information into accessible content
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills - native English speakers only.
* Proper grammar and spelling are mandatory
* Strong knowledge of SEO best practices
* Ability to meet deadlines
* Passion for eyewear fashion and industry trends
* Experience with Shopify’s blog CMS, as we’d also like you to upload and publish these articles if all goes well.
