As much as we search the blogosphere ourselves for Aussie blogging experts and fresh faces, there are always more to be discovered.<\/p>\n<p>As previously announced the dates for 2014 are Fri 29 and Sat 30 August. Venue and location will be revealed soon! The aim of the Problogger Event is to train, educate and inspire bloggers, both new and old and there are two ways you can be part of it:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Share your 5 minute story on what changes you have implemented since PBEvent 2013 and the impact they have had on your blog. (The 5 minute story will be an informal session without slides and will be in a brief interview format.)<\/li>\n<li>Present a full session (55 minutes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The form to submit your expression of interest is the same, you simply need to select which option you are wanting to be considered for and you can select both. \u00a0All information collected is kept confidential and is only used for assessment of speaking submissions. \u00a0While we are collecting traffic data and social media metrics, this does not mean smaller blogs will be overlooked &#8211; we \u00a0are actively seeking growth stories and success stories from smaller blogs.<\/p>\n<p>Through out the program we will have a mix of keynote speakers, training presentations, workshops and time for networking with other bloggers. While we will consider panels, our preference is for solo presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Once again our key focus is entrepreneurial blogging. \u00a0Utilising your blog and blogging skills to create revenue streams. \u00a0Attendees should be able to leave each session with a list of actions they can implement to improve their blog, expand their readership and develop ways to profit from their expertise.<\/p>\n<p>We are expecting a high number of submissions and as much as we would love for everyone\u2019s story to be told, it will not be possible to fit everyone into the schedule.<\/p>\n<h3>THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN MAKING YOUR SUBMISSION:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Does my topic fit with the core focus for 2014?<\/li>\n<li>Has it been covered at previous Problogger Events? \u00a0See here for more information \u00a0\u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/problogger.com\/events\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Problogger-Public-Handbook.pdf\">2013<\/a>, \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/probloggerevents.com\/more-speakers-for-this-years-problogger-training-day\/\">2012<\/a>, \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/probloggerevents.com\/schedule\/\">2011<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.problogger.net\/archives\/2010\/08\/11\/150-bloggers-pack-melbourne-hotel-for-problogger-training-day\/\">2010<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Original ideas will be valued highly, as will twists on key blogging monetisation topics.<\/li>\n<li>Sessions will run for 55 minutes and will need to include at least 5 minutes question time.<\/li>\n<li>Proposals must be submitted in the speaker\u2019s name and contact details \u2013 not from PR companies or agents.<\/li>\n<li>Sales and product pitches are not allowed in sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Please reserve the event dates August 29 and 30, 2014 on your calendars. \u00a0With many speakers to schedule it will not be possible to accommodate individual speaker availability.<\/li>\n<li>Panels must not exceed 3 members. \u00a0An additional person can be had as moderator if desired.<\/li>\n<li>Only one submission per session is required. \u00a0You will need to make sure all panellists are aware of the submission and they\u2019re available to speak at Problogger Event 2014. \u00a0Please do not submit multiple proposals.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions must be received by 5pm AEDT Sunday 23rd February 2014. \u00a0There will be no late submissions accepted under any circumstance, no matter how dire or heart breaking!<\/li>\n<li>Successful submissions will be required to forward the presentation pack to Problogger event organisers at least two weeks in advance. \u00a0Failure to do so could see the session being replaced.<\/li>\n<li>Due to the number of speakers we invite, it is impossible for us to assist with travel and accommodation costs for all speakers involved.
