{"id":324,"date":"2012-02-10T18:43:13","date_gmt":"2012-02-10T08:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/probloggerevents.com\/?p=324"},"modified":"2012-02-10T18:43:13","modified_gmt":"2012-02-10T08:43:13","slug":"problogger-event-2012-speaker-submissions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/problogger.com\/events\/2012\/02\/10\/problogger-event-2012-speaker-submissions\/","title":{"rendered":"Problogger Event 2012 Speaker Submissions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are currently welcoming submissions to present at the Melbourne <a href=\"http:\/\/probloggerevents.com\/problogger-training-event-save-this-date\/\">Problogger Event 2012<\/a>.\u00a0 The aim of the Problogger Event is to train, educate and inspire bloggers, both new and old.<\/p>\n<p>Blogging continues to grow in Australia as a medium that allows individuals and organizations to find their voice, grow influence and credibility and become more profitable. This event exists to help bloggers to reach their potential.<\/p>\n<p>The day will involve a mix of keynote training presentations, panels with opportunity for Q&#038;A, and time for networking with other bloggers.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 key focus is on entrepreneurial blogging.\u00a0 Utilising your blog and blogging skills to create revenue streams.\u00a0 Sessions will need to be tailored to suit a range of bloggers from food, fashion, parenting, small business to corporate and we want to cover a wide range of monetisation strategies.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees should be able to leave each session with a list of actions they can implement to improve their blog, expand their readership and develop ways to profit from their expertise.<\/p>\n<h3>Things to consider when making your submission:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Does my topic fit with the core focus for 2012?<\/li>\n<li>Has it been covered at previous Problogger Events?\u00a0 See here for more information\u00a0 \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/probloggerevents.com\/schedule\/\">2011<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.problogger.net\/archives\/2010\/08\/11\/150-bloggers-pack-melbourne-hotel-for-problogger-training-day\/\">2010<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Original ideas will be valued highly, as will twists on key blogging monetisation topics.<\/li>\n<li>Sessions will run for approx 45 &#8211; 60 minutes and will need to i<strong>nclude <\/strong>question time.\u00a0 Exact length of session will be advised at a later date.<\/li>\n<li>We are expecting a high number of submissions, but will <strong>only<\/strong> be choosing submissions that we believe will offer a high standard of teaching to attendees and that fit in with program for the day.<\/li>\n<li>Proposals must be submitted in the speaker\u2019s name and contact details \u2013 <strong>not <\/strong>from PR companies or agents.<\/li>\n<li>Sales and product pitches are <strong>not<\/strong> allowed in sessions.<\/li>\n<li>Please reserve the event dates October 12 and 13 in your calendars.\u00a0 With many speakers to schedule it will <strong>not<\/strong> be possible to accommodate individual speaker availability.<\/li>\n<li>Panels <strong>must not<\/strong> exceed 3 members.\u00a0 An additional blogger can be had as moderator if desired.<\/li>\n<li>Only <strong>one<\/strong> submission per session is required.\u00a0 You will need to make sure all panellists are aware of the submission and they\u2019re available to speak at Problogger Event 2012. \u00a0Please <strong>do not<\/strong> submit multiple proposals.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions <strong>must<\/strong> be received by 5pm AEDT 2<sup>nd<\/sup> March 2012.\u00a0 There will be <strong>no<\/strong> late submissions accepted under any circumstance, no matter how dire or heart breaking!<\/li>\n<li>Successful submissions will be required to forward the presentation pack to Problogger event organisers by 24<sup>th<\/sup> September 2012.\u00a0 Failure to do so could see the session being replaced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to make your submission:<\/h3>\n<p>Submissions will <strong>only<\/strong> be accepted via the form below. Or by clicking through <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheet\/viewform?formkey=dDNHNGRETk8xeXV1M25SZllvLWdueGc6MQ\">here<\/a> to the web based form.<\/p>\n<p>You will receive an email within 48 hours to confirm receipt of your submission.
