We are seeking a true “in the blood” techie who can also write flawless articles that explain tech (particularly related to online security and privacy) in non-techie terms.
We’re not looking for someone who’s learned about technology – more someone who truly lives and breathes it. The kind of person who would have qualified as a “geek” back in the day! We have a significant amount of writing work available for the right person (or people) and pay good rates to our writers.
As we’re looking for someone very specific, I have some equally specific application requirements. Please ensure you follow all of these. Applicants who don’t follow all the instructions will be rejected automatically.
Hours and workloads can be flexible, but fast communication and consistency is essential. If you’re someone who is too busy to respond quickly to emails and instant messages, please do not apply.
Finally, quality and attention to detail is imperative too, as is at least some level of SEO knowledge.
Requirements to apply:
1. Please briefly tell me your history with computers and technology – from your first computer and your memories of it, to what work you’ve done with tech in your professional career.
2. Please provide links to at least three published writing samples, ideally including one that explains a fairly technical subject in an easy to understand way.
3. Please write around 150 words on “What you consider to be the biggest IT security threat of 2016 and why.”
