Safety.com is a trusted online resource for consumers to find reliable information on a wide range of safety products, services and advice. Our content is well-researched, unbiased and always written with the consumer in mind.

We’re growing and looking for experienced, safety-focused freelance writers to join our team!

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for experienced writers to research and create expert content on all things safety, from home security systems and identity theft protection to consumer safety information and more.

You’ll be expected to conduct thorough research for a variety of safety topics, including reaching out to industry leaders for research and quotes to inform your articles. As one of our safety experts, you’ll write long-form articles, including product and service reviews and informational safety guides. We’ll provide content topics to start out with, but later on, you’ll be expected to pitch article ideas to our editorial team.

Each of our guides are written from a consumer standpoint. For reviews and rankings, you’ll be expected to write objective reviews, addressing both the benefits and drawbacks of any services or products mentioned in your article. You may also be asked to write news articles covering home security technology and other related topics.

Our safety writers are trusted experts for consumers. Your writing should inspire trust and authority on safety topics while making it easy for consumers to relate and get informed. You should not use overly technical language that may be unknown to or unappealing for an everyday consumer.

Here are some examples of the quality and content we are looking for in safety guides covering products and services. Please make sure to look through these before you decide to apply:
