Ongoing freelance writing gig: happiness and mental health articles

We’re looking for freelance writers who can contribute 5-10 articles per month on a regular basis. Article length is anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000 words. Payment is $40 per article, via Paypal.

We're looking for writers who are passionate about topics regarding mental health. Someone who is not afraid to write informational content that's well-researched, personal and positive.

We're not interested in dull essays or walls of texts. Instead, we value key highlights of studies, personal anecdotes, examples and funny opinions. If you can tie that up and reference authoritative and factual data in the meantime, you are precisely what we're looking for. Within the provided subjects, you'll have the creative freedom to apply your own know-how and experience in the content.

The requirements are as follows:

1. Fixed $40 per article.
2. Length will vary from 1000 to 2000 words.
3. Expected to write as much or as little as needed to cover the topic. Some articles will be longer at 2000 words, some short at 1000. On average over the long term, articles will be around 1500 words average.
4. Unique content. We check for plagiarism.
5. Submit articles via email in Google Docs link.
6. Expected to hyperlink to online resources used. Research skills are needed and proper linking out to studies is a must. Since this content is about mental health, we only accept links to authoritative and factual sources.
7. Proper use of headers (header 2, header 3) is needed to separate blocks of text.

Writing for us, you will need to follow specific templates that we will provide. This is not SEO-type content. All posts must be well-researched and useful for your reader. We expect you to learn quickly and produce posts that require very little editing.

You don’t have to have tons of experience in writing to apply. New writers who are willing to learn are welcome to apply as well.

What will happen after your application?

1. Depending on your application, you'll hear from us if we think we're a match.
2. I'll send you a paid trial article (at the fixed price of $40) in addition to my content guidelines (which you'll have to follow)
3. If the trial article is of good quality, I want to hire you to write anywhere between 2 and 5 articles per month. Please note that this is not a one-time job. I'm looking for consistent work for many months.
