Kettle & Fire is a high-growth CPG company that makes the only shelf-stable, 100% grass-fed bone broth. We’ve started a blog to become a thought leader in the health & wellness space while supporting our business by driving new, targeted traffic to our site.

We are looking for an amazing person to help manage and scale growth for our blog. This person has at least 1-3 yrs minimum experience managing, developing, and marketing web content on a large scale.

Position Summary

The Blog Manager oversees all content initiatives to drive sales, targeted traffic, post engagement and positive awareness for the Kettle & Fire brand.

This individual is an expert in all things related to content including increasing blog readership, managing a content team, converting blog traffic into new customers, and making informed decisions based on analytics.

This position collaborates with the growth marketing team on content initiatives to drive meaningful customer growth.

Responsibilities

  1. Generate blog post ideas for our writing team, based on research of other blogs, along with analysis of what's working on our own site.
  2. Manage our editorial calendar, work with writers and make sure that content is done within deadlines
  3. Hire & onboard guest writers / contributing writers
  4. Monitor our analytics & produce insights into what's working
  5. Systemize a content distribution plan across a number of channels including social, leveraging our affiliate partnerships, syndication, and email.
  6. Assist in our SEO/Link Building strategy revolving around blog content
  7. Work with our design contractors on infographics and other design elements
  8. Collaborate with growth marketing team on other content projects

Experience & Skill Requirements

  • At least 1-3 yrs minimum experience
  • Incredible people skills
  • A solid understanding of the health & wellness space
  • You probably also have your own personal food/health blog
  • A willingness for understanding customer demographics
  • You need to be an excellent writer and editor.
  • Experience in content software applications (WordPress, Google Suite, Trello, SumoMe)
  • Expertise in managing and scaling a content marketing team
  • The ability to identify keyword opportunities and optimizing blog posts to rank organically
  • Experience in finding creative avenues for distributing content across channels
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Fluency in Google Analytics and social media marketing applications
