Blog and Social Media Manager for Ski/Snowboard/Snow Blog
Who We Are
Snowcomparison.com is a ski resort search engine.
Snowcomparison.com:
• Enables skiers and boarders to search for a ski resorts according to their preferred criteria including Location; Terrain ability preference (% of trails that are beginner, intermediate or advanced); Total trail length; Number of ski lifts; Highest peak and Accommodation prices. Note that users can also still choose to search by ski resort name.
• Promotes all ski resorts with neutrality-driven search results which allows all ski resorts to have an equal opportunity for discoverability based on the users chosen criteria. Additionally, all resorts are presented equally, on a like-for-like basis, without the influence of brand or budgets.
What We Have That We Want Your Help With
• Blog/Magazine: Snowcomparison has Snowcomparison/Magazine, hosted on WordPress.
• E-Newsletter: We collect email addresses onto MailChimp and wish to send out fortnightly, and then weekly eNewlsetters to our database
• Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+
What We Need
Blog and Social Media Manager:
Target: 10,000+ unique visitors (skiers and boarders) a month
Month 0-3:
• Create & Manage content calendar to ensure sufficient content for Blog and Social Media Updates
• Write, Acquire, Edit & Upload copy.
o Min 2 articles per week
• Use Yoast to ensure SEO and Readability standards are met before publishing content
• Ensure internal linking between our articles and search engine
• Manage our social media profiles and interact with users comments on social media.
o Note: we have currently deactivated comments on our blog.
• Send out Fortnightly eNewsletters
• Send weekly WIP updates
• Report monthly on progress on KPIs
• Work with me to identify key influencers in each country (56) to become Snowcomparison ambassadors: Contribute content, Promote Snowcomparison on their social media, act as PR outreach for Social Media.
Month 3-6
• As above plus:
• Contact and develop relationships with identified influencers
• Manage article quality from influencers
• Write/From Influences, Acquire, Edit & Upload copy.
o Min 5 articles per week
• Increase the quantity of blog posts and social due to contribution from influencers
• Increase eNewsletters to weekly
• Identify opportunities to increase our unique visitor monthly targets.
• Monetize the Blog & eNewsletters with advertisers
Month 6+
• Review Magazine redesign to maximize our existing content structure, quality and learnings.
• Develop Blog and Social Media plan for net 12 months

Snowcomparison.com was launched the first week in August 2016. We are a new start up and this is a new position. This means we get to make a lot of stuff up as we go and we can only go up…
You will be working directly with me, owner of Snowcomparison.com
I would like to see this as long term commitment that grows with the Magazine into a significant and sustainable business.
• Employment status: Independent Contractor
• Hours: Part-time: Hours to be determined through discussion
• This position will include both a cash payment as well as a portion of any revenue generated from Blog/Magazine site. Not from Search Engine website.

• You'll need to be:
• You must be a native English speaker.
• An enthusiastic skier or snowboarder and traveller
• You have both blog and social media experience with great success
• You have the time to commit to this as an ongoing and growing opportunity. It will start part time and as we grow and generate income the role will grow with you.
• Honest, motivated and diligent.
• You can write primarily for humans, without forgetting about the search engines in the process.
• Familiar with WordPress
• Familiar and/or willing to learn Yoast & Canva.
• Able to network with people.
• Good at managing your time.
